Friday 26th October      

6.00 pm                     Meet and greet.
7.00 pm                     Dinner

 Saturday 27th October

 9.00 am                    Meet in the Greta Suite. Coffee/biscuits
 9.30 am                    Dr Euan Lawson. FRCGP will introduce his book The Healthy Writer
10.30 am                   Dr Julie Carter GP, mountaineer and fell runner will introduce her book Running the Red Line
1.00 pm                     Lunch
2.00 pm                     Carol Ross, “Therapeutic Benefits of Writing”, followed by Group work. Carol will be one of the group leaders and the groups will rotate so that all can get an idea of Carol’s work
4.30 pm                     Close

5.00 pm                     AGM at the Conference venue — the Greta Suite at the Skiddaw Hotel, Main Street,  Keswick, Cumbria CA12 5BL.  All SOMW members are welcome to attend, free, whether or not they  are also attending the Conference itself.

7.00 for 7.30 pm    Conference dinner, followed by traditional SOMW entertainment.

Sunday 28th October  

9.30 am                     Competition results, presentation of awards by Angela Locke and readings, followed by Creative Writing session led by Angela Locke. Angela has a variety of experience as a writer, having led a very successful creative writing group for many years. She also runs an annual course on Iona which is much loved by participants, including SOMW members
10.30 am                  Coffee/biscuits
1.00 pm                    Lunch and close
